Hi lovers! I’m Caitlin McDonald, Owner, and Lead Designer of Caitlin McDonald Events and an Oregon native. I married after years waiting through the pandemic and just recently became a mom to the sweetest little girl.

I started my business after several years directing events at a luxury villa in the Bay Area. It was there that I learned just how crucial every logistical detail is to ensure a smooth wedding day and where I fell head over heels for the wedding industry.
​
My passion for wedding planning and design is rooted in my ultimate love for hosting, cooking, and interior design. Daily, you can catch me trying a new recipe, swapping out the linens on our table or binging Food Network. I’m a host at heart and creating delicious and beautiful meals on an exquisite table really is my love language.

The signature style of CME embodies rich textures, carefully curated inventory and heavy hitting installations of florals, lighting, and other impactful elements. I’m also a sucker for al fresco dining and beautifully hand selected chairs because who doesn’t love good food, beautiful views, and a comfy seat at the table?

CLIENT LOVE
Caitlin was the best wedding planner any girl or couple could ask for. I did not take the decision lightly to choose a wedding planner, and I’m so grateful I found Caitlin. Caitlin answered all emails, texts and phone calls. I felt I could reach out at any moment and Caitlin would be there. (And yes, there were some 911 texts and Caitlin was ALWAYS there to save the day!) (Caitlin knew the day I was trying on wedding dresses and even texted me a sweet message - extremely thoughtful!) Caitlin took the time to truly understand my vision for my wedding. She gave her thoughts and opinions too, which was insightful to make sure all ran smoothly. Caitlin utilized Aisle Planner (super cool platform) and sent mood boards/ PowerPoints to help me see big picture. Caitlin supported me with finding all vendors and I can’t stress the value of how crucial Caitlin’s relationships are with each vendor. These vendors would bend over backwards for Caitlin, and knowing how much they trusted her, it made me trust Caitlin even more! All my vendors worked SO WELL together and it truly felt like a family on wedding day… which made the day even MORE FUN. (All because of Caitlin’s relationships with them)
On wedding day, I felt so taken care of - no ask was too big. Truly. Caitlin checked in consistently to make sure my husband and I had everything we wanted/needed. I would hire Caitlin again in a heart beat. Thank you, Caitlin, for EVERYTHING you did for my husband and I to make our dream wedding come true. It was perfect and beautiful. I could keep typing wonderful things about Caitlin but I’m running out of space. RUN, do not walk, to HIRE CAITLIN for your wedding planner!!! XOXO
